This is the site where the wolves stay from late spring, when they just returned from there winter site, all the way through early fall, when there packing up again to head off. This is the center of the whole area where they stay, and there's a small fire pit in the center, though it isn't used often. This is where the pack meets altogether, plans things, and is generally where they spend most of there day outside, unless there doing there jobs or such. Have fun hanging out with your wolf friends here. Also, the dens are placed around in a circle like area, with the alpha/alphesses den at the top, sloping up hill, to give a good view of all of the site. It is located right in the center of The Forest of Golden Apples, with a stream behind the alpha/alphesses den for water, its a small clearing in the forest.

Altaira climbed out of her summer den with lofty, heavy steps, not that she was tired. The Alphess looked around with cold icy eyes, apparently no one was awake yet. The first sliver of light had long since past for the current day and day was clear overhead. She sniffed the air, ah, so it was time. Time to begin packing up and heading for there winter site near Alagonia Lake. They would most likely leave within at least a week's time. She sighed, fearing the winter ahead slightly, she knew she'd have to make sure they would have running water during winter, for the Lake was well known for being completely frozen over by thick, sharp ice in the frigid cold. She wondered if she should call out the rest of the pack, she decided. They needed to go hunting, glancing at the food pile was a clear indication, all that was left from previous hunts was a bone hear and there. Crawling to a high point at the camp A.K.A right outside her den, the Alphess howled, a signal for the wolves to gather 'round.

Kenzi slunk out of her den, her eyes set in a faint glare, directed at no one specifically. She hated the morning. She let out a dramatic sigh, and sat facing the alphess. She wrapped her tail over her front paws, and coked her head.

Altaira acknowledged Kenzi's arrival with a slight glance, but nothing more. Hopefully Jet and Larka would wake up soon, they were the Hunters of pack. The alphess sat patiently, watching as her sister emerged from her den. She said in a patient, calm voice, though it was steady, -"We will be going on a hunt, at least once Larka or Jet awakes," Her eyes looked at Kenzi, making sure she go that, as well as Saoirse...
Saoirse yawned grumpily, wah, why did her sister have to call at this hour it was like 4 in the... oh. The brown wolf blinked twice at the small amount of light flooding in at the entrance of the Scholar/Scribe den. The wolf got up and came out a bit tired, snapping her jaws and stretching to avoid aches later. The wolf saw Kenzi and said happily, -"Morning Kenzi!" This was despite her seconds earlier mood...

Kenzi turned her head and looked at Saoirse. Puh-lease her face read. "Whatever," she replied, and returned her bored gaze to the alpha.

A black and white female trotted into camp, coming back from an early morning run. The spy for the great pack of Alio, and a female that most pups ran and hid from. Ugly? No. Scary assassinator? Heck Yes. She let out a large yawn, barring her long and sharp fangs. This was Rye's morning, take a long run, catch a rabbit, take a bath if necessary, and then back to camp. She had shooed the guard away at two, since she daily only runned on 5 hours of sleep or less. She trotted across the large camp clearing to the alphess, nodding her head that she had more news to bring to the pack, although she didn't look too deadly serious about it for once. But- Rye did look a bit concerned about it for whatever reason.

Sliding out of the Lady's Den, Val moaned in annoyance at the bright sunlight. The former Spy had been awakened by Altaira's howl for the hunters.
Even though she knew the call was not for her, the pregnant Lady still wanted to watch the hunters leave. It had always been a favorite thing of hers to do, even when she was but a pup. Val's mother, a skilled hunter, had always looked at her daughter over her shoulder before she left, barking a farwell. That is, until she was killed on a hunt when she was kicked by a deer.
Shaking the happy-turned-sad thoughts from her head, Val watched quietly, legs curled under her swollen belly. Her pups would come soon, no doubt. The brown wolf had felt the stirrings of early contractions the night before, and so this may be the last time she left the Den for a while.

Jet strode from his den, shaking his black and white coat. The relatively scarred male male stood before the Alphess's howl, his light green eyes watched and listened before he started towards the camp exit.

The snowy white female waltzed around the clearing, her eyes searching. Larka let out a calling yip. She scented the air, searching for the welcoming smell of her mate Avalon. She sat down, and patiently waited, a soft smile on her face as usual.

*I'm quite sorry for the eh...no other way to put it... week long delay. I had my Doctor's checkup last Friday, on the 11th, and nothing was wrong. But the next day, I had developed an odd symptom, whenever I had inhaled, quite embarrassingly, a burping sound in threes came out. I panicked, being the worrisome person I am, and tried looking for an answer, I had chest pain, heart burn, and trouble sleeping at night. My family too me to the Doctor's again today to see what was wrong and I was diagnosed with GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) ((I'm really hoping that's permanently curable...)). I'm getting my prescription medicine tomorrow, and I will be at my Grandmother's for Christmas on Sunday. But I'll be back a couple days until my Birthday, (Christmas Eve), and will be up at my other families for Christmas then, then I'm free. ;D That's just an Update for me, sorry for it being long, but back to roleplaying!* Altaira scanned the coming wolves, the Alphess keeping note of who arrived in her mind, like a list. Kenzi (Though she had seemed to slunk off somewhere...), her twin sister Saoirse, former spy & pregnant Lady Val (Who could give birth any moment, she kept the Healers up all night just in case.), Jet, Larka, & Assasin (Though it was extremely rare she ever ordered it.) & Spy, Rye. She nodded only the slightest at Rye's expression, they would speak in private later about it. Rye for whatever reason seemed slightly worried about it, odd. Moving her gaze along to the gathering wolves, she called out gruffly, -"Avalon," No more needed words, the she-wolf wasn't the most patient... Saoirse blinked. One second there, the next gone, oh well. She looked with a small smile at the gathering, some quite sleepy, wolves. Her tail happily waved about, almost like a happy dog's. A small shiver of excitement was sent down her spine at the tension in the air at her sister's impatience. The she-wolf Saoirse was nervous, she didn't exactly like her sister getting all mad and grumpy, she always moaned to her! Shrugging she waited for the rest of the wolves. Avalon awoke with a yawn, his tired eyes finally creaking open at his Alphesses first call. A hunt, maybe, who knew, not for him. Besides being kept awake all night by the Alphess's command in case Val gave birth, the male felt it was too early to awake. But he smelt tension and heard a second call, this time specifically for him. The white male yawned and got up somewhat slowly. He emerged last apparently, waiting eyes met him in the early daylight. He smiled widly and happily at the sight of his mate, Larka... Every day with her was a joyous holiday, as far as he was concerned.

** did you fix your GERD yet?(= **
Larka turned, and saw her matching white mate arise from the den. She flicked her silky white tail, beckoning him into the open space next to her. She returned her gaze the alphess, waiting for her to speak, but watched handsome Avalon out of the corner of her eye. They had been mates for a while now, but she still looked at him with the same new love in her eyes. They would be in the honeymoon phase forever. She smiled a little at the thought. She glanced over at the Ladys den. Val would be pupping any day now, and she couldn't wait. She was almost a fill-in for Val, like the expectant and proud father. Any wolf would think that she was having the pups. But they were soooo cute and fuzzy, how couldn't you love one? How couldn't you want one? Maybe next breeding season for her...

*Pretty Much. =)*
Altaira nodded at the late Avalon & then turned to face her pack more directly. "It is time for a bit of a hunt, as you can see,"- She said, addressing the wolves, looking out of the corner of her eyes at the mostly barren food pile. Turning her eyes back to the crowd, she continued, -"So, Hunters, you know what to do. And since we will be leaving soon after Val's pup's are born for are winter site, plus the fact we will be taking quite a bit of food with us wish to eat a bit before the arduous jorney there, I'm sending Kenzi & Saoirse to help with the hunt," It wasn't that Altaira doubted the skills and prowess of the Hunters to do it themselves, it was because she wanted there to be more helpers there than usual to hopefully, if any luck was shining upon them this day, bring in a large kill so they may all get a good bite to eat, especially Val, in her current state. Altaira continued to speak her final few statements to the pack, -"And since we all know Val will soon be having the pups, I am assigning Avalon to be with her for a good portion of the day, and if she begins to...give birth... help her if she does duly request it," A slight pink might have been visible upon the white furry face of Altaira if she wasn't so uptight at the moment. She wasn't the most comfortable with addressing... such private matters. and with that, like the wind, it ended as fast as it had began, Altaira was done & on her way to attend other matters. Those left who did not receive orders could do as they pleased, she suppose, hopefully something productive...
Saoirse was a bit down crested about going... hunting, her ears dropping along the flatter part of her skull. She had a number of problems with it. One, it wasn't her job to freaking do the food-catching. Two, she was an intellectual, not a physical worker. And three, she didn't want to have to kill the cute little rabbits, hares and deer & all the cute animals her herself! but she didn't argue, as the peace-loving wolf was not about to start a battle of wills. But oh well! the wolf's spirit was not dampened for long. Perking up, the she wolf stood up, her tongue lolling and decided to prepare, & with that, the cinnamon colored wolf slinked into her den to do just that...
Avalon had crept next to the spot Larka had directed to his attention, next to his lovely mate. Avalon sighed softly at the order, he had been hoping to spend an hour or two with Larka, or maybe help her hunt even, though he wasn't to into it himself, before assisting Val with whatever she needed. But the curly haired white wolf nodded to his Alphess and eyed Val, ready to help. He was a healer & he had a duty. Plus, it was something he enjoyed helping others. So no problem, he'd just spend time with his mate later, most probably. Two enjoyable things in the same day, it couldn't get better, right?! At the thought, Avalon's ears crept up, perked & peppy.

Larkas smile flickered off her angel white face for a moment. She wouldn't have minded staying with Val at all, it would make her quite happily actually. She would get to spend time with Avalon AND maybe some pups if nature allowed it. But she could always just visit the pups once they were clean and fluffy, and take a walk with Avalon later that night. She realized she wasn't paying attention, and refocused her eyes on the alpha, dearly hoping she didn't miss anything important, and was too embarrassed to ask if she did. It wasn't good to be caught spacing out when the alphess was speaking to the entire pack. She caught something about Kenzi going on the hunt with them. Ugh. That she-wolf was so uptight and cruel. She hoped that Val had the sense to keep her pups far from that witch.
