On the outskirts of the Klam camp their is a place where the wind never blows and time almost stands still. Cries come from it, wails of pain and sadness. Here is the place where many warriors lay, among elders, betas, alphas, omegas, ladies, doctors, hunters, apprentices, and even a few pups. Each grave has sticks to mark and X where a wolf lays. The elders pass their knowledge on to the next and each wolf knows every grave by heart. A song plays through the branches of the old oak in the middle of the clearing, sung in a tune of the wind as clear as day by the first young alphess pup the Klam pack had ever seen,
"Don the colors, Listen to the breeze, Keep the peace together, In death where you please, Searching and flee, To the light nothing can hide, No one is safe from their fate,, Death, For you kiss, Sin a lie, Embracing unkind, Nothing is safe from their fate, Death, Before you walk, Walk to the light, Open your eyes, And no one is safe from their fate, Death in its arms, And may A tears roll down our cheeks, Go to it now, and many you you ever live in peace....."
-Sung by Hemrose, over the first great alphess and her mother, Raginta, 's grave.
[Lyrics partially from the song "Death In It's Arms", and partially edited by a friend.]
